EnterPlicity is not the flashiest, largest project management software company trying to rack up as many customers as we can for publicity, or to meet arbitrary financial targets. Our goal is the same one is has been for the past seven years: to be the best in the business at working closely with our clients to solve their problems and meet their core needs. Beginnings
EnterPlicity began in 2001 as the result of the project management experience of our founder, Mark Kenny. Mr. Kenny worked as a project manager in various capacities and realized the need for project management software solutions that filled the gap between desktop products and high-end solutions. This gap made it difficult for small and mid-size organizations to utilize project management technology without taking a big leap into high-end, expensive, complicated solutions.
Mr. Kenny wrote a simple software product whose sole initial purpose was to enable organizations to create work breakdown structures in a web-based environment and import / export them to Microsoft Project. That's all it did. Sure enough, we found organizations that wanted a simple way to do just that. It was different and practical. But it didn't take us long to realize that our customers craved more. Features and benefits were added to the system to meet the needs expressed by our customers...and Teamplicity was born.
TeamPlicity
Teamplicity was a web-based project management software product focused on providing teams with a simple method of tracking projects. It provided a work breakdown structure, simple gantt view, and reporting engine. Different organizations used it to track their projects with small teams, many of whom continued to use Microsoft Project as the front-end scheduling engine. But they liked and appreciated the ability to view all projects and status information in one location. Of course, additional needs were expressed by customers, and we began to work with larger customers and thus was born EnterPlicity.
EnterPlicity
Whereas TeamPlicity was focused on project teams, it grew to where it was geared more towards larger organizations. Thus the product was renamed to EnterPlicity, representing the focus on enterprise-level customers and needs, while maintaining the simplicity inherent in our original beginnings. The EnterPlicity software system greatly expanded what was available in TeamPlicity by providing things such as email notifications, document repositories, issue management, timesheets, advanced reporting, portfolio management, and much more. Organizations with hundreds of users could now effectively use the system to track and manage their projects and related data.
EnterPlicity Expands
Our passion is to help organizations solve problems and meet their core needs through project management software. This passion led us to develop various services and work even closer with customers towards that goal. Thus the term "EnterPlicity" came to mean so much more than software. It came to mean a set of products and services all designed to help organizations get the most out of project management software, regardless of their situation or particular software. We began helping organizations with training, analysis, management, and other aspects of improving their organizations with project management software. We have seen big dividends when organizations really benefit from this.
